Norris, Martella’s hands PCCA first loss

JOHNSTOWN- Another home run from Grant Morris powered Martella’s Pharmacy to victory Wednesday.

Navigating through a Paul Carpenter pitching staff that fanned 13, Martella’s posted seven runs in the final two innings to hand Paul Carpenter its first loss of the season in an 11-5 triumph.

Norris (2-for-3) recorded three RBIs, including his two-run homer to left field in the top of the fourth. Martella’s posted five runs in the seventh as Jake Ansell, Brian Yetter, Brycen Rearick and Jake Felton each drove in runs.

Aiden Layton led things off on the mound for Martella's Pharmacy. He surrendered one run on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Dylan Gearhart earned the win after throwing four innings and fanning four.

Hayden Ford started on the hill for Paul Carpenter. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out five.
