Ebensburg falls to Bedford, 10-1

Ebensburg pitcher Logan Gottshall threw 1.3 innings and allowed three hits.

EBENSBURG— The Ebensburg Legion baseball team was only able to muster three hits in a 10-1 loss to Bedford Tuesday night in Western Pa. Baseball League action.

Bedford (2-1) earned the victory with a five-run sixth inning. Andrew Lazor, Drew Hall,  Calvin Iseminger and Isaac Whysong all drove in runs to effectively put the game out of reach.

Lucas Nicodemus was the winning pitcher for the Hurricanes. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Jared Dowey and Rhett Frazier entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Logan Gottshall took the loss for Ebensburg (1-1). He lasted 1.2 innings, allowing three hits and three runs. Zach Malay, Reece Werner and Gottshall all had one hit to lead Ebensburg.

Werner scored Ebensburg’s only run for the evening after scoring via error in the fourth inning.

Bedford collected 12 hits. Lazor and Reffner all managed multiple hits for the Hurricanes.
